Krabi

After a raucous new years in Phuket we went to Krabi on the mainland. It’s basically Phuket 15 years ago – a laid back beach town just on the cusp of being overrun by tourism. It was a calmer couple days than Phuket for sure. We got all geared up to go swimming and I even brought my snorkel this time – I’ve been looking forward to using it since Key West. But the beach… It’s nasty. Like, Jersey Shore nasty. No hypodermic needles or anything, but there’s so much debris that it’s unappealing to swim there. The ground is practically quicksand once you get close enough to the water. We had our fun and moved on quickly.
