Is it too soon? You know, because Warsaw did see war? You know, enough to completely destroy about 85% of the city? But, you know, they did the middle European thing and rebuilt it exactly as it was before – in some cases on top of existing rubble. I tried to get a couple shots but it’s not always obvious, you know. We took advantage of the favorable exchange rate and hit the milk bars. You know. Not like the ones in A Clockwork Orange, it’s just a place to get food cheap. It’s a holdover from communism (you know). No service or bullshit niceties, just a fried pork chop and some potatoes for $2.50. Where has this been all my life. And as is our m.o., you know we got lucky at a milk bar and met a really cool and friendly Polack (racist?) who helped us plan an entire circuit of activities. He tagged up our map for us and we had a good game plan for the next day. Otherwise the city treated us well, it was a lot of walking around but it was also very relaxed. Quiet. For a major city, anyway.
You know.

Nope, “Polack” is not racist at all. It’s actually what they call themselves; like we call ourselves American. Took me awhile to get used to that myself and I’m still not totally comfortable saying it.
Love the site so far, man. Looks like you guys are having a great time.
Looks like you guys are having a wonderful time! So happy for the both of you! You are living the life instead of dreaming about it and that’s one fine thing! Wish we could meet up somewhere in Eastern Europe or Morocco or so but travelling with an 8 weeks old is not immediatly in our cards
